Predictions for F1 2010
For all of us waiting, waiting for F1 2010 with bated breath, after a really lackluster F1 2009, one can only suppose that the excitement is going to be because of the race car driver of our choice. We know that Ferrari did not set the racetracks on fire, but thanks to a cutthroat competition for the best racing teams and race car drivers, going on between this company and McLaren, the F1 2010 season is going to be quite interesting.
McLaren had Fernando Alonso in 2007, with Hamilton as the backup. Ferrari was not doing so well, because one of Ferrari’s most famous race car drivers Michael Shoemaker had retired and Kimi Raikkonen had tried to fit his shoes. The expectancy level was too high yet Ferrari managed to deliver by winning by just one point in the last race. That was because McLaren was beset by infighting among the race car drivers and racing teams. Renault got Fernando back after this classic 2007 season. McLaren had its own problems; Ferrari accused it of using Ferrari intellectual property to improve the design of their own racing cars.
Anyway, let us come to the 2009 F1 session.
McLaren and Ferrari, the Giants of 2007 did not seem to be anywhere near winning line. They have just managed a couple of wins. The black horses of the season with expert racing teams and race car driver are Red Bull and Brawn, who managed to surprise everyone with the cutthroat competition between them. So, it is natural that F1 fans are looking towards F1 2010, with lots of expectancy. It is McLaren vs Ferrari and Hamilton vs. Alonso in the fray. One is definitely not going to look at the racing team; the emphasis is on the race car driver. So, with the dominating teams ready to take on the brunt of battle, one is going to find plenty of excitement on the racetrack, in the F1 2010 session.
Nevertheless, it is not quite right to count the chickens before they are hatched. McLaren has some problem with Mercedes, which might not show up in the F1 2010, but is going to show up in the future. Further down the line, there is this humor of a Tie up between Mercedes and Brawn. So McLaren just needs to get through 2010, before it thinks about other dedicated sponsors for its team. In the same manner, the race car drivers are also not quite happy with their prospected teams. Alonso does not enjoy partnering Massa much, and Hamilton is quite annoyed with Rainokken being moved to McLaren, which means the competition, just got tougher. But that is the name of the game!
