Grand Prix Tires

grand prix tires
k let me rephrase that my 98 grand prix has 245/35 R 20 the side wall is really small like and inch and a half

from rim to street what pressure would you have tha tires at, im afraid of blowing a tire if i hit a pothole or something hard enough. any tire experts out there. or anyone with 20s on there grand prix what do you set them at.

I roll on 245/35 20 in the summer time on my grand prix (I live in Utah, and have to have studded snow tires in the winter)

Mine are Kumho’s and they say up to 50 psi. so i kept 45 psi in them.

I had one blow out in 2 years, They were doing construction, and i hit a pot hole that practically swallowed my car… I mean this hole was about 8 inches deep, 10 inches across, and 18 inches long. It was the perfect pothole for killing you car. Other then that i have hit my fair share of potholes that aren’t that bad, and my tires are fine.

 1957 German Grand Prix

1957 German Grand Prix

$50.2

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The 1957 German Grand Prix was a Formula One race held on 4 August 1957 at Nürburgring. The 22 lap race was won by Juan Manuel Fangio, and is often cited as one of the greatest victories in racing history. Fangio had taken notice of the tire and fuel-level selection of the Ferrari drivers, and realized they were probably going to run the entire race without a pit stop. Fangio decided he would use softer tires, and only a half tank of fuel. This would allow the car to take corners faster, but also require a pit stop. Fangio took his pit stop on lap 13, in 1st place, and 30 seconds ahead of Hawthorn and Collins. The pit stop was a disaster, the pit crew had trouble removing one of the wheels. Fangio left the pit lane in 3rd place, and 48 seconds behind Collins who was in 2nd place. Over the next 10 laps, Fangio broke and rebroke the lap record 9 times (7 of the records were in successive laps). Early in the 21st lap, Fangio was beside Collins on a straightaway, approaching a bridge that was barely wide enough for both cars to fit side by side. Collins backed off, and Fangio took 2nd place.

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The 1976 Japanese Grand Prix was a Formula One race held at Fuji on October 24, 1976. The 1976 World Championship was to be decided at the Mount Fuji circuit, with Niki Lauda just three points ahead of James Hunt after a season full of incidents. The field was almost unchanged from the previous race: Noritake Takahara rented the second Surtees, replacing Brett Lunger, and Hans Binder was back in the second Wolf Williams after Masami Kuwashima’s money failed to materialize. Maki resurrected its old Formula One car for Tony Trimmer while Heros Racing entered an old Tyrrell for Kazuyoshi Hoshino, and Kojima Engineering entered a locally-built chassis for Masahiro Hasemi (on Dunlop tires). In qualifying Mario Andretti took pole position in the Lotus 77 with Hunt on second place and Lauda third. Then came John Watson’s Penske, Jody Scheckter, Carlos Pace, Clay Regazzoni and Vittorio Brambilla. The top 10 was completed by Ronnie Peterson and Hasemi. The Maki failed to qualify.

2000 Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing Season

$46.99

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The 2000 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 52nd F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Kenny Roberts, Jr. fulfilled the promise of his 2nd place in 1999 by winning the championship for 2000 with 2 races to spare. The season also saw the premier class-debut of Valentino Rossi, who began the year with crashes in the first two rounds and also had a third at Valencia; nonetheless, he came in second as a rookie in the class with 2 wins and 8 podiums. Garry McCoy achieved 3 wins with his spectacular 2-wheel sliding style, and his use of 16.5-inch (420 mm) tires began a general transition to that size, though it had been used previously in 500 cc by Kevin Schwantz.
